391,513. Golf bags. CHAPMAN, G., 113A, Mulberry Street, Liverpool. Nov. 10, 1931, No. 31111. [Class 132 (ii).] Means for use in connection with golf bags for preventing club heads becoming scratched or damaged comprise one or more hoods 5, each provided with an opening 6 to permit the passage of a club head 1 and being attached to the golf bag 3 by a flexible connection that allows the hood to be moved relatively to the bag while remaining attached to it, so as to enable the freeing of the club for use. The hoods are formed of waterproof material lined with a soft material, or of chamois leather or a durable fabric. The apertures at the lower ends of the hoods are expandable against the action of an elastic band or spring 7. The hoods are attached to an eyelet 4 at the mouth of the golf bag by means of a snap-hook 10, split ring 9, springs or elastic cords 8, and swivels 12.
|
