 A system and method involving the processing of heart rate measurements of an exercising user comprising a server computer 104 which, as well as associating the device identifier of the measurement device 102 with the user account of the user during a registration procedure, also receives real time heart rate measurements and device identifier over a network connection. The server 104 identifies the users measurement device 102 from the received device identifier and stores the received heart rate measurements against an associated user account. The measurement device may be attachable to the users body and may transmit heart rate data via a wireless connection to an interface unit 106 connected to the server 104. An apparatus that as well as having a wireless interface providing device-to-device connection with a measuring device, also has a network interface to route measurement data received by the wireless interface to a server computer. |
