[Class 81 (ii).] In cupping-appliances comprising a cupping-glass, a pump, and a detachable flexible connector the cupping-glass 1 is provided with a spring- closed valve 6 which is held open by contact with a member 11 of the connector when the latter is in position. The valve is preferably so arranged that it may be opened by fingerpressure when the connector has been removed. The pump, Fig. 3, is provided with a suction cup 25 whereby it may be attached to the surface of a table &c. and the suction stroke is effected by the action of a spring 24, so that the pump may be operated with one hand. |
