PURPOSE: A heat pump system for producing hot water using waste heat is provided to improve the efficiency of producing the hot water by directly recovering high temperature heat to a heat pipe regardless of cooling and heating modes. CONSTITUTION: A heat pump system for producing hot water using waste heat comprises a heat pump cycle(10), a heat pipe(20), a thermal storage tank(30), and a hot water tank(40). A compressor of the heat pump cycle comprises a compression part(15) and a casing(16). In the casing, the compression part is connected to an evaporator so that a low temperature area is not sealed. The compression part is connected to a condenser in the casing so that a high temperature area is sealed. One side of the heat pipe penetrates one side of the casing, and is inserted into the casing to recover heat generated in the compression part. The other side of the heat pipe sinks into a heat exchange medium in the thermal storage tank to deliver the heat recovered from the compression part to the heat exchange medium.
