<p>PURPOSE: A constant current driver circuit and an LED backlight device using the circuit are provided to improve the characteristics of light emitted from a backlight assembly by including an optical sheet including a prism sheet for collecting light, or a diffusion sheet for diffusing light. CONSTITUTION: A control IC(100) generates a switching signal. The control IC includes a reference signal generator(REF), a comparator(CMP), a flip flop(FF), and a delay part(DLY). The reference signal generator generates a reference signal(ref_s) having information about a target constant current. A switching element(SI) switches input power supply based on the switching signal. A rectifier diode(D1) rectifies a power current switched by the switching element.
