摘要 PURPOSE: A position correcting system and method for welding robots are provided to reduce working hours by implementing position correction of the robots within a short time by using a common coordinate and an individual coordinate set in each robot. CONSTITUTION: A position correcting system for welding robots comprises a coordinate setting unit(110), a feature point calculating unit(120), a block division unit(130), a block selecting unit(140), and a position correcting unit(170). The coordinate setting unit sets three-dimensional common coordinates of a working tool based on the common center point of all robots. The feature point calculating unit calculates a feature point coordinate of a vehicle using a laser sensor and a vision sensor of each robot. The block division unit divides a work space into virtual block spaces and sets a representative point coordinate of each block in the virtual block spaces. The block selecting unit calculates the distance between the representative point coordinate and the feature point coordinate, selects a block corresponding to the shortest distance, and determines the coordinate of the representative point of a selected block as a working position coordinate. The position correcting unit calculates a displaced coordinate between the working position coordinate and the previous working position, transmits the displaced coordinate to the robot, and corrects the working position of the robot by applying the displaced coordinate to the individual coordinate and the common coordinate of the robot.
