SOLAR CELL SUBSTRATE HAVING BARRIER LAYER CONTAINING SODIUM AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A solar cell substrate having a barrier layer which contains sodium and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve performance of a solar cell by forming a metal layer by electroplating a lower substrate. CONSTITUTION: Metal particles including Na are dispersed in an electrolyte for electroplating. A lower substrate is electroplated using the electrolyte in which the metal particles including the Na are dispersed. A diffusion barrier is manufactured by forming a metal layer which includes the Na. Metal is selected from Cr, Ni, and Ti. The metal particles including the Na are sodium oxides. A particle concentration of the sodium oxide is 0.1-100g/l.
