THE COPPER SHOE FOR HORIZONTAL BUTT WELDING

PURPOSE: A copper shoe for horizontal butt welding is provided to prevent melt from preceding even in case of increasing heat input by pushing the melt with push gas, thereby enabling high heat input welding. CONSTITUTION: A copper shoe(1) for horizontal butt welding comprises first and second push gas supply units which supply push gas to push the lower and upper parts of melt in order to prevent the melt from preceding due to gravity. The first push gas supply unit is arranged on a side and the second push gas supply unit is arranged in the center of the copper shoe.
