PURPOSE: A propulsion device for a ship, an installation method thereof, and a ship with the same are provided to accurately maintain a gap where a reverse bevel gear and a driven bevel gear are engaged and a gap where a driving bevel gear and the reverse bevel gear after installation. CONSTITUTION: A propulsion device for a ship comprises a rear propeller(20), a front propeller(30), a reverse rotating device(70), and a flange part(11). The rear propeller is fixed in a driving shaft(10). The front propeller is rotatably supported in the driving shaft in front of the rear propeller. The reverse rotating device is installed in the tail end of a hull(1), reverses the rotation of the driving shaft, and transfers the reversed rotation to the front propeller. The reverse rotating device comprises a driving bevel gear(71), a driven bevel gear(72), a reverse bevel gear(73), a casing(75), and radial bearings(51,55). The flange part has a cylindrical support part(11a) coupled to the driving shaft.
