PURPOSE: A freezing prevention electronic water meter is provided to minimize a volume expansion of water in the inside of a body unit and to uniformly disperse expansion pressure to the whole body unit, thereby preventing a water meter from being frozen and burst. CONSTITUTION: A freezing prevention electronic water meter comprises a body unit, a magnetism generator(170), a frequency sensing unit(180), and a control unit(190). A flow path is formed in the inside of the body unit. A water inlet is formed in one side of the flow path and a water outlet is formed in the other side of the flow path. A venturi unit is formed in between the water inlet and water outlet so that water had flown into through the water inlet flows to the water outlet via the venturi unit. A resistant plate is arranged in a central portion of the flow path of a water outlet side, thereby dividing the water flow to both sides. A part of the divided water flow is rotated to a rear side through a pair of a rotation flow path, thereby flowing into again through both sides of a neck portion of the venturi unit. The magnetism generator generates a magnetic field on the flow path. The frequency sensing unit comprises a pair of frequency sensors and the pair of frequency sensor detects a frequency value of the magnetic field varied proportionally to a flow rate of the water flowing through the venturi unit.
