[Class 97@(i).] Lenses which are exposed to heat, such as condenser lenses in kinematograph projectors, are formed in two or more parts assembled so as to be separately free to expand and contract. As shown, the lens is formed in three parts a, b having plane contiguous faces parallel to the optical axis of the lens. The parts may be freely held together by a divided circular rim d having parts engaging each lens surface, the ends of the rim being connected by a clip e having depressions f engaging apertures or recesses g in the rim. |
