The wheel (1) has a web (11) in which openings (3) are formed. Deformation sensors or strainometers (J1-J4) are mounted in the openings to measure deformations of the wheel in function, and are oriented in the openings to detect longitudinal deformation of the wheel in function. The sensors are obliquely oriented in the openings with respect to a radial straight line passing between wheel and opening center parts. Auxiliary measuring units are independent of the sensors and mounted in the openings. The units are oriented in the openings to detect vertical deformation of the wheel in function. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for measuring contact forces of a wheel of a rail transit car on a rail, comprising a controller (2) a method for manufacturing a wheel.
