Provided are a method and device for cell changing in a heterogeneous network, relating to the technical field of communications and invented for effectively reducing the electricity consumption of UE.The method for cell changing in a heterogeneous network includes: determining its own moving state; determining the order of frequency priorities according to the determined moving state, and when the moving state is a higher moving state such that the number of cell changing times is beyond a first threshold value within a specified time, the priority of the frequency used by a cell which has a larger coverage is higher than the priority of the frequency used by a cell which has a smaller coverage in the heterogeneous network,otherwise, the priority of the frequency used by a cell which has a larger coverage is lower than the priority of the frequency used by a cell which has a smaller coverage in the heterogeneous network; performing frequency measurement according to the determined order of frequency priorities; and performing cell changing according to the order of frequency priorities and the result of the frequency measurement.The embodiments of the present invention can be used in mobile communication technologies. |
