<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform startup processing with high usability in an image forming apparatus mounted with two fixing devices. <P>SOLUTION: A startup mode corresponding to an image forming mode using two fixing devices and a startup mode corresponding to an image forming mode using only one fixing device are prepared so that a user can instruct and register either of them.
