<p>Process for the manufacture of hydrogen peroxide by direct synthesis comprising converting hydrogen and oxygen to hydrogen peroxide in the presence of a heterogeneous supported catalyst comprising at least gold, palladium and platinum as catalytically active component, wherein the weight ratios Pd/Pt and Au/Pt are both equal to or higher than 1:1 and wherein the amount of gold is equal to or higher than 0.2% by weight of the catalyst support.</p>
