摘要 PURPOSE: A system for detecting a high-resistance ground fault and a method thereof are provided to analyze image components, distortion factors, and change factors of voltage and current, thereby detecting ground fault with high reliability and identifying a ground fault location. CONSTITUTION: A system for detecting a high-resistance ground fault comprises automatic switches(200) and an automatic server(300) for power distribution. The automatic switch generates data of voltage and current measuring phases on line, and stores the data about phase loss. The automatic server chooses the closest automatic switch to the power of the phase loss as a first comparison switch, and the neighboring automatic switch to the first comparison switch as a second comparison switch. The automatic server compares the measured data from the second comparison switch over a certain period of time with the data of phase loss from the first comparison switch to identify the location of phase loss. Also, the automatic server compares the measured data with the predetermined values of voltage and current to identify a high-resistance ground fault location.
