<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conversion device that has a short wiring distance between filter capacitors and switching means. <P>SOLUTION: A power conversion device 3 for directly converting polyphase AC power to AC power includes: a conversion circuit having a plurality of switching means 311, 313, 315, 312, 314, 316 connected to respective phases R, S, T of the polyphase AC power and capable of two-way conduction switching; and at least three capacitors 821-826 connected to the conversion circuit.
