<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which can share a moving image program by connection with a home network by WLAN and can set a use environment in accordance with various purposes of users. <P>SOLUTION: When an operation on the moving image program shared via the home network is performed by setting a portable terminal 1 in a vertical direction, a system becomes a remote control screen and an operation can be performed in the same way as a regular remote controller. When the operation is performed by setting the portable terminal 1 in a lateral direction, the system becomes a viewing reproduction mode or a television viewing mode, and various kinds of operations can intuitively be performed by gesture input.
