<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method of treating palm waste oil for decreasing its viscosity to such an extent that the palm waste oil is available as fuel. <P>SOLUTION: The method of treating palm waste oil includes: heating and melting palm waste oil; adding an acid flocculant to the melt; removing the floating composition floating on the melt; adding alkaline solution to generate coagulative precipitation; and carrying out solid/liquid separation. The treatment method uses, as the acid flocculant, an acid flocculant made by solving burned animal bone powder in an acid solution, and impregnating an inorganic porous body with the obtained solution together with aluminum. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
