<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve rolling resistance performance and wet performance. <P>SOLUTION: A modified diene rubber, which is prepared by modifying a diene rubber consisting of a natural rubber and/or a synthetic isoprene rubber, includes an epoxy group produced by oxidation of a double bond moiety in the main chain of the diene rubber, and an alkoxysilyl group-containing group connected to the main chain of the diene rubber and represented by formula: -A<SB POS="POST">k</SB>-SiR<SP POS="POST">1</SP><SB POS="POST">m</SB>R<SP POS="POST">2</SP><SB POS="POST">n</SB>(wherein A is a 1-9C bivalent group, k is 0 or 1, R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>is a 1-3C alkoxy group, R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>is a 1-3C alkyl group, m is 1-3, and m+n=3). A content of the epoxy group is 5-30 mol% relative to an isoprene unit, and a content of the alkoxysilyl group-containing group is 0.5-6 mol% relative to the isoprene unit. A rubber composition including 10-120 pts.mass of silica relative to 100 pts.mass of a rubber component containing the modified diene rubber is also provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
