摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably operate the apparatus by protecting the part of the discharge detection mechanism from the ink mist. <P>SOLUTION: An inkjet recording apparatus has: an emission means 211 to generate light to irradiate the droplet discharged from an inkjet head; a collimating lens 212 for converging light from the emission means; an aperture part 213 to remove extra light from the light that has passed the collimating lens; a mirror member 254 that reflects light that has passed the aperture part toward the liquid droplet; a light receiving means to receive light generated when the light reflected by a mirror member hits on the liquid droplet, and includes a discharge detection mechanism to detect the liquid droplet discharging state from the inkjet head based on the light intensity received by the light receiving means. The mirror member is constituted movably between a closing position that shields the reflecting surfaces of the aperture part and the mirror member from the ink mist in the air by approaching the aperture part, and the opening position that can reflect the light toward the liquid droplet by being separated from the aperture part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
