<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection device, a method and a program of a ripple of a DC motor, which can perform feedback control on a filter section by highly precisely obtaining a ripple frequency even if a ripple lack and a ripple increase occur due to dispersion or noise in individual ripple periods. <P>SOLUTION: In the ripple detection device 1 of the DC motor 91, a ripple period detection section 5 includes: means 51 for successively operating the ripple periods on the basis of a ripple waveform Ir2; means 52 for generating a time-sequential array in which the constant number of ripple periods Tr2 which time-sequentially continue are set to be array elements and successively updating them; means 55 for rearranging the ripple periods in order of sizes and generating an ascending order array; and means 56 for obtaining an average value of the center ripple periods left after the prescribed number of ripple periods are removed from before and after the ascending order array and setting the average value to be an average ripple period Tav.
