<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent sewing slippage when sewing two pieces of cloth to be processed together or when sewing different parts of a sewn object together, and to provide a needle plate for preventing sewing slippage, which enables the degree of resistance applied by a stopper metal fitting to be adjusted in accordance with the thickness of the cloth to be processed. <P>SOLUTION: A needle plate guide groove 10 is provided on a needle plate 1. A T-shaped elastic body 7a having a stopper metal fitting 6 adhering to the elastic body is fitted into the needle plate guide groove 10 and fixed to the needle plate guide groove 10 with a screw 11 and a nut 12. The T-shaped elastic body 7a on the upper surface of the needle plate is vertically moved by elliptic motion 18 of a feed dog so that resistance is applied to a lower piece of cloth to be processed. The T-shaped elastic body 7a is slid in a back-and-forth direction 17 in a traveling direction so that the degree of the applied resistance can be adjusted by fixing the stopper metal fitting 6 at an appropriate position to prevent sewing slippage caused by the thickness of the cloth to be processed. The stopper metal fitting 6 is made longer than the width of the underside of a presser foot so that the resistance applied to the lower piece of the cloth to be processed is increased, and thereby the two pieces of the cloth to be processed can be perfectly synchronously sewn. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
