<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine in which a product for reducing the vibration of a water tank by a damper using a magnetic viscosity fluid as a working fluid can be improved in productivity and reliability. <P>SOLUTION: The washing machine includes a damper 21 for reducing the vibration of the water tank accommodating a drum (a rotating tank). In the damper 21, when magnetic force is applied to a magnetic viscosity fluid 66 between a rod 23 and upper and lower yokes 54 and 37 and an intermediate york 47 by a magnetic field generated by upper and lower coils 51 and 45 stored in a cylinder 22, the viscosity of the magnetic viscosity fluid 66 is increased to increase frictional resistance against the reciprocation of the rod 23 to increase damping force, thereby preventing the vibration of the water tank. A chipped portion 36 is formed in the cylinder 22 in an axial direction thereof, and lead wires 57 and 58 for feeding electric power to the both coils 51 and 45 are inserted into the chipped portion 36 in the axial direction of the cylinder 22 and fixed thereto. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
