CARTRIDGE FOR PREPARATION OF BEVERAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge containing one or more beverage ingredients (200) and being formed from substantially air- and water-impermeable materials, the cartridge having a structure advantageous when an extremely small tolerance is desired.

SOLUTION: The cartridge comprises: an inlet (121) for introducing an aqueous medium into the cartridge; an outlet (122) for outflow of beverage formed from the one or more beverage ingredients; an outer member (2); an inner member (3) inserted into the outer member; and a means for producing a jet of beverage. Then, the jet producing means is provided with an aperture (128) in a beverage flow path linking the inlet to the outlet, wherein the aperture (128) is defined by an interface between an inner member and the outer member. The inner member is provided with a cylindrical wall (67) and a narrow slot (70) formed in the cylindrical wall, wherein at least a part of the aperture is made to be defined by the slot.
