SOLUTION: In a step S103, a part-specifying unit specifies the part of a subject within a part image on the basis of a characteristic amount vector that is obtained by analyzing characteristics of the part image captured by an imaging device. In a step S104, a capturing condition setting unit sets a capturing condition under which a part image indicating a state of the skin of the target part is captured in response to the specified target part. The technique is applicable to a measuring device for measuring a skin state, for example.
