The present invention relates to a system and method for providing local-area-network-based Internet telephony service. More particularly, the present invention relates to a system and method for providing a local-area-network-based Internet telephony service, which employ a fixed in-house switching network to enable an employee of a company to communicate with other employees free of additional communication charges via company terminals, or via mobile terminals which the company employees may always carry with them, without being restricted by the current location of the company employees. Thus, the working range of company employees may be infinitely expanded and working delays caused by being cutoff from communication may be prevented. Further, all communications within the company may be performed through local-area-network-based Internet service, thus resulting in no communication charges for the company, such that a low-cost, highly-efficient working environment may be established. |
