A temperature adjustment apparatus (1) for a vehicle adjusts the temperature of a battery (2). The apparatus (1) is provided with a primary system (3) through which cooling water circulates, and a secondary system (4) through which a refrigerant circulates. The primary system (3) is provided with a heat exchanger (31) for causing heat exchange between the battery (2) and the cooling water, and a heat exchanger (32) for causing heat exchange between the cooling water and outside air. The secondary system (4) is a refrigeration cycle. Both a heat exchanger (42) at the high-temperature side and a heat exchanger (44) at the low-temperature side of the refrigeration cycle are thermally coupled to the primary system (3). Therefore, heat exchanging with outside air is provided only by the heat exchanger (32). A pump (33) of the primary system (3) can switch the circulating direction of the cooling water. The apparatus (1) constitutes a main unit (6) comprising the battery (2) and the refrigeration cycle, and is mounted in a vehicle. A control device (5) controls units so as to execute cooling operation and heating operation. A temperature adjustment apparatus for a vehicle, wherein mounting work thereof will be easy, is thereby provided.
