The embodies of the present invention disclose a differentiated method, access network equipment and corresponding system for implementing charging to charge accurately for a user equipment whose routing area is updated. The method comprises that the access network equipment judges whether the user equipment re-selects the current network, if yes, then the Packet Date Protocol (PDP) context state of the user equipment is modified to the inactive state; the access network equipment sends the routing area update request message to the core network equipment, and the routing area update request message comprises the PDP context state information which indicates that the PDP context state of the user equipment is the inactive state; the access network equipment sends the PDP context state information which indicates that the PDP context state of the user equipment is the inactive state to the user equipment. The method provided by the present invention implements accurate charging even if the routing area is updated and ensures the benefit of the user and operator.
