摘要 <p>The robot (1) has a control unit (8) for detecting a spatial position of a component (7) to be aligned relative to a gripping device (6). The gripping device comprises a cushion (11) made of flexible material, where the cushion is partially filled with granulate with adjustable resistance. The gripping device comprises a low pressure adjustment device i.e. vacuum pump, which varies low pressure in the cushion for adjusting resistance level of the granulate, so that mechanical holding forces are transferred to the component to be aligned based on the resistance level. An independent claim is also included for a method for aligning a component.</p>
