<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency cut-off valve device capable of easily resuming water supply in case of power failure, introducing the device at low cost, and reducing workloads in resetting work and maintenance. <P>SOLUTION: The emergency cut-off valve device 3A includes a cut-off valve 30A, a drive part 35 to operate it in a valve closing direction, a brake part 36 to keep the cut-off valve 30A in an opend state, and a brake releasing part 363a to close the cut-off valve 30A by releasing the brake, and operates so that the cut-off valve 30A is closed when actuation of a seismoscope acts on the brake releasing part 363a to automatically cut off the water supply through the water supply piping, wherein the drive part 35 has a drive shaft 351 and a spiral spring 350 to drive the same, and the cut-off valve 30A is energized in the closed direction in a state that the spiral spring 350 is wound. A crank handle 38 is manually turned in a state that the cut-off valve 30A is closed, whereby the cut-off valve 30A is opened while the spiral spring 350 is unwound, and the brake part 36 fixes the state.
