APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING WEAKLY ACIDIC STERILIZING WATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for producing weakly acidic sterilizing water, which can increase the stability of the concentration of remaining chlorine contained in weakly acidic sterilizing water.

SOLUTION: The apparatus includes: a first adjustment section for dissolving carbon dioxide gas in water through a gas dissolving apparatus GDL and adjusting pH of the water; and a second adjustment section for dissolving in water a hypochlorous acid solution discharged intermittently from a constant volume pump CP4 and adjusting the concentration of remaining chlorine in the water. In the apparatus, weakly acidic sterilizing water where the carbon dioxide and the hypochlorous acid solution are dissolved in raw water is produced by mixing the water introduced from the adjustment section with the water introduced from the second adjustment section. The second adjustment section includes: a raw solution tank T for storing the raw solution of the hypochlorous acid solution; and the second mixer MX2 for diluting the raw solution introduced from the raw solution tank T3 with water and then supplying to a constant volume pump CP4.
