<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism which does not use an unnecessary network band when a process of searching for an image input device on a local network performed by a server device on the Internet is substituted by an information processing apparatus on the local network. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided an image input system comprising a server device 103 and an information processing apparatus 1201 which performs communications with the server device 103 via the Internet 107 and a wireless communication network 106. on searching for an image input device to be used for acquisition of image information, when an image input device 1202 is available, the information processing apparatus 1201 does not search for the image input device 102 on a local network 104 and selects the image input device 1202 as an image input device to be used. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
