PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element capable of efficiently, adhesively bonding to a housing, and also attaining miniaturization.

SOLUTION: An optical element includes a lens element part 10A including two optical surfaces 11 formed as an incidence plane and an emission plane of laser light and transmitting the laser light. Two non-optical surfaces 12a and 12b of the lens element part 10A are disposed to face each other, and the non-optical surface 12b as an adhesively fixing surface is adhesively fixed to a housing by a photo-curable adhesive. The non-optical surface 12a has a lens part 13a for converging or diffusing light for curing the photo-curable adhesive which is incident from a side opposite to the housing of the optical element, and emitting the light on an area to be adhesively fixed to the housing in the adhesively fixing surface.
