<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber switch, in which a switch operation part with a good appearance can be formed into a thin and planar shape and which can have good visibility and improved reliability. <P>SOLUTION: This optical fiber switch 1 comprises an optical fiber 3 having a light leakage part 33 whose one part of a peripheral face is fractured between both ends, a light source 2, on which light is incident from one end 31 of the optical fiber, and a light reception part 4 receiving outgoing light from the other end 32 of the optical fiber and generating switch signals switched according to an amount of received light. The light reception part changes the switch signals according to existence of a detected body 6 blocking the light leaked from the light leakage part in contact with the light leakage part. This switch can realize a thin, light and flexible operation part, and form a flat operation part integrated with a circumference by being woven into a woven cloth, so as to improve an appearance in harmony with a cloth article.
