<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the occurrence of tailing to be prevented for maintaining print quality even in a high-temperature environment by keeping a roll of heat-sensitive paper at low temperatures irrespective of ambient temperatures. <P>SOLUTION: A thermal printer includes: a roll of heat-sensitive paper; a heat-sensitive paper feeder that feeds the heat-sensitive paper along a paper transfer path; a cooler that is provided in the heat-sensitive paper feeder to cool the roll of heat-sensitive paper held in the heat-sensitive paper feeder; a thermal head that is provided along the paper transfer path so as to be opposed to the paper transfer path; a platen roller that is disposed so as to be opposed to the thermal head across the paper transfer path. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
