A method and a base station (200) serving a first cell of a cellular network, for controlling interference coordination with at least one neighbouring cell(202).The base station obtains(200a) transaction related information (TI) pertaining to a forthcoming data transaction involving at least one wireless terminal (204) in the first cell, and estimates (200b) a transaction magnitude (TM) for said data transaction, based on the obtained transaction related information. The base station then controls(200c) employment of an Inter-Cell Interference Coordination scheme for the forthcoming data transaction, based on the estimated transaction magnitude.
