PURPOSE: A method for controlling a vehicle transmission is provided to improve ride comfort by preventing the generation of shock and noise generated in components between an input shaft and an output shaft. CONSTITUTION: A transmission starts synchronization between a speed changing terminal gear of a target step and an output shaft(S10). The transmission straightly moves a sleeve of the target step towards a clutch gear of the target step by controlling an actuator. The transmission fixes the position of the sleeve when a rev count rising rate of the input shaft reaches a predetermined rising rate. The transmission maintains the synchronization state for predetermined time(S20). The transmission completes shift by completing the interlocking with the target step(S30).
