USE RESTRICTION METHOD FOR APPLICATION SOFTWARE IN PORTABLE TERMINAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a use restriction method for application software in a portable terminal which can prevent the application software from being used in an inappropriate state and makes it possible for the application software to be used in a state in which it is updated to the latest version.

SOLUTION: A use restriction method performs the steps of: making a portable terminal 5 acquire and store use restriction information of application software 11 from a database server 1; selecting the application software 11 acquired and stored in the portable terminal 5; determining whether or not the portable terminal 5 has acquired and stored the use restriction information of the application software 11; and disapproving start of the selected application software 11 if it is determined that the portable terminal 5 has not acquired the use restriction information of the application software 11, and approving start of the selected application software 11 if it is determined that the use restriction information of the application software 11 has been acquired.
