<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that can shorten a start time of first print while suppressing the occurrence of overshoot more than a conventional one, and an image forming apparatus using the fixing device. <P>SOLUTION: In a warm-up period of time for heating a heating roller 51 to a fixing temperature (150°C), a control part 60 performs first power control for supplying first power P1 (1,350 W) until the surface temperature of the heating roller 51 reaches a predetermined temperature (140°C) lower than the fixing temperature and, until the surface temperature of the heating roller 51 reaches the fixing temperature after reaching the predetermined temperature, the control part 60 performs second power control for supplying second power P2 corrected and determined according to a surface temperature Ta1 of the heating roller 51 and an ambient temperature Tb1 thereof at the start of warm up and a rise gradient Ka of the surface temperature of the heating roller 51 and a rise gradient Kb of the ambient temperature thereof for a predetermined period of time (2 s) during the first power control. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
