<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, wherein a battery with an internal short circuit will be detected accurately. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprises an electrode body formation step for forming an electrode body comprising a positive electrode and a negative electrode, and a self-discharge step for allowing the self-discharge of a battery by allowing a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery including the electrode body and a nonaqueous electrolytic solution in a battery case to stand for a prescribed time period. In the electrode body formation step (S1), the electrode body is formed so that the value X defined as the ratio (B/A) of the capacity B of the negative electrode to the capacity A of the positive electrode is in the range of 1.7 to 1.9. In the self-discharge step (S7), the self-discharge of the battery is allowed while the value Y defined as the initial SOC(%) of the battery at the time when the battery is allowed to stand satisfies the relation: (50X-35)≤Y≤(50X-5). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
