The present invention pertains to a spin polarization device that causes a spin-polarized electron beam that has been emitted from an electron gun or has been emitted or reflected from a material to rotate in any direction, the objective being to provide a simple construction and to enable a radiation system in its entirety to be made compact. A spin rotation device is equipped with: a first condenser lens that focuses a spin-polarized electron beam that has been emitted from an electron gun or has been emitted or reflected from a material; a spin rotator for which the point where the electron beam is focused by the first condenser lens is the center of the lens, and which has a multipole capable of generating an electric field and a magnetic field; a Wien condition generation means that applies to the multipole forming the spin rotator a voltage and a current which satisfy a Wien condition whereby the spin of the electron beam is rotated exactly by a specified angle and the electron beam is moved directly forward; and a second condenser lens that focuses the electron beam the spin of which has been rotated by the spin rotator. |
