Disclosed are an interference suppression method and device for inter-system frequency spectrum sharing. Through application of the technical solution of embodiments of the present invention, maximum downlink transmission power and/or maximum uplink transmission power of a cognitive cell on a cognitive frequency band is limited, which can effectively reduce interference between a cognitive system and an authoring system, comprising interference of the authoring system on a downlink of the cognitive system and interference of the cognitive system on an uplink and a downlink of the authoring system, in the case that the two systems share a frequency spectrum, so that the cognitive system uses idle frequency spectrum resources of the authoring system in the case of noninterference/low interference, thereby increasing the utilization of the frequency spectrum and improving link quality.
