<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which enables tread pressure of an accelerator pedal of a vehicle to be automatically or manually varied and regulated in accordance with driver information as well as a travel state of the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A tread pressure regulating system for an accelerator pedal of a vehicle comprises: a tread pressure regulating switch; weight measuring means which measures weight of a driver; tread pressure calculation means which determines a tread pressure value of the accelerator pedal so that tread pressure increases with the weight measured by the weight measuring means; switch varying means which varies the tread pressure switch in accordance with the tread pressure value determined by the tread pressure calculation means; and tread pressure control means which controls the tread pressure of the accelerator pedal in tandem with the tread pressure regulating switch. A degree of the tread pressure of the accelerator pedal is controlled by automatically operating the tread pressure regulating switch in accordance with the weight of the driver. The tread pressure value may be corrected based on information obtained by measuring and detecting a speed of the vehicle as well as a travel condition outside the vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
