<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a communication system capable of improving transmission efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The communication system executes the allocation of a frequency band to a user terminal by selecting one of a continuous allocation system, in which a base station continuously allocates a frequency band, and a discrete allocation system in which the base station discretely allocates a frequency band. Through a control signal, the base station reports to the user terminal the frequency band allocated to the user terminal, and instructs to switch an allocation system, using a control signal bit different from a bit indicative of the allocated frequency band. When selecting the discrete allocation system, the base station divides the total amount of the allocated frequency bands into two sub-blocks, and allocates the frequency band to the user terminal by determining a disposition on a frequency axis on the basis of each sub-block. Based on the control signal received from the base station, the user terminal obtains a frequency band allocated to the self-terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
