<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washstand which has an easy-to-use storage function to be added to a modesty panel portion located above the front of the washstand. <P>SOLUTION: In the washstand, which has a washstand body 1, a washbowl 2 mounted on the washstand body 1, and the modesty panel 3 located above the front of the washstand body, and has a sliding storage portion 6 arranged in a space in the lower portion of the washbowl and permitted to be drawn to the front side together with the modesty panel 3 provided on the rear side of the modesty panel 3, the sliding storage portion 6 has a storage space portion 9 in the shape of a long groove which is opened upward by a bottom plate 7, the modesty panel 3, and a backboard 8 erectly provided with a prescribed space interposed between itself and the modesty panel 3 formed.
