<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a string-like reinforcement fiber composite which has not only excellent tensile strength derived from a basalt fiber but also excellent shear strength, which has shape changeability, and which utilizes the basalt fiber. <P>SOLUTION: Characteristically, a string-like reinforcement fiber composite includes an inner layer which is made of a core wire of one or more string-like basalt fiber bundles, an intermediate layer which contains a resin and which is provided around the core wire, and an outer layer which is made of a braided tubular string and which is provided around the intermediate layer. The string-like reinforcement fiber composite, which has shape changeability while maintaining mechanical performance such as excellent tensile strength and an elastic coefficient derived from a basalt fiber as the core wire, can be suitably used particularly as a concrete reinforcement material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
