<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure to inhibit a housing from displacing relative to a circuit board and achieve low manufacturing costs in an electric connector disposed on a mounting surface of the circuit board and fitting with a plug of a mating connector along a direction parallel to the mounting surface. <P>SOLUTION: An electric connector 9 includes: filamentous or shaft like first contacts 11; second contacts 12; a housing 10 holding these contacts 11, 12. A first substrate side mounting part 11e of each first contact 11 is disposed on the fitting direction D1 side relative to the housing 10 and is mounted on a circuit board 2. A second connection part 12g of each second contact 12 is disposed on the mounting surface 2a side relative to a first connection part 11b of the first contact 11 with respect to the height direction Z1.
