<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device capable of performing proper processing against an error in the storage device, and efficiently adding new processing content and modifying processing content. <P>SOLUTION: An update information management unit 19 adds change information to static information stored in an error management information table unit 11 when the static information is changed. A determination unit 12 detects an error and determines an error type. A dynamic information calculation unit 13 obtains dynamic information corresponding to the error type from the error management information table unit 11. An information conversion unit 15 determines whether change information is included in the static information corresponding to the determined error type, and converts the dynamic information so that the dynamic information indicates that the static information has been changed when the static information includes the change information. A dynamic information transmission unit 16 transmits the converted dynamic information to a server 20 when the static information includes the change information.
