<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively and accurately utilize information on an actually measured MS<SP POS="POST">3</SP>spectrum, to improve accuracy of peptide identification, and to provide accurate quantitative information indicating reliability of an identified peptide. <P>SOLUTION: By database retrieval based on an actually measured MS<SP POS="POST">2</SP>spectrum for a test sample, a plurality of candidate peptides are selected. For each of the candidate peptides, a mass of a theoretical MS<SP POS="POST">3</SP>fragment is obtained, the one for which a corresponding peak is present in the actually measured MS<SP POS="POST">3</SP>spectrum but is not present in the actually measured MS<SP POS="POST">2</SP>spectrum in the mass is extracted, and the peak is added to an original peak list by the actually measured MS<SP POS="POST">2</SP>spectrum. Then, on the basis of the corrected peak list, scores of the candidate peptides are recalculated. After the scores of all the candidate peptides are recalculated, they are compared, it is determined that the candidate peptide with the highest score is a correct peptide, and an identification result is outputted together with the score and an expectation value calculated from a score distribution. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
